I’ve Been Pre-Occupied.
An interesting thing happened on the way to the blog, as they say. OK. Nobody says that. But, here’s what transpired: During the last half of December I was doing the holiday thing and figured you would be, too. That’s not so interesting, but this IS: I discovered a very close and dear friend has Adult ADHD. I didn’t know squat about ADHD and neither did he, since he was never diagnosed. There are a lot of adults (4% – 5%) who have it. Most don’t know it. They clearly know they’re different. But, without the knowledge they have ADHD they’re likely to feel lazy, stupid and confused. Moreover, they may have been hurt very badly by unwittingly driving a loved one away – a tragedy for both parties. So, I’ve been learning about ADHD, processing emotions (some things that had been funny made me sad. I’m working on getting them back to being funny) and creating a new blog, The ADHD Chef at TheADHDchef.com.
