About 8% of the male population has some sort of color blindness. The color blind have the inability to clearly distinguish different colors of the spectrum, they tend to see colors in a limited range of hues. Because of this, the color blind have trouble with a lot of websites.

As Seen Through Normal and Color Blind Eyes

The image at the right is designed to show those with normal vision how colors look to color blind people. Within each block, the first column shows normal vision, the second column shows the simulated appearance for those who have a relatively rare Blue/Yellow color blindness (protanopes) and the third column for those with the most common form of color blindness, Red/Green (deuteranopes).
